Following breakfast at your hotel, meet your driver and guide for a full-day exploration of Iceland’s celebrated Golden Circle. A packed lunch will be provided for your journey through this extraordinary landscape.

Visit Seljalandsfoss, a graceful 60-metre waterfall where, when conditions permit, a pathway leads behind the falling water. Continue to the mighty Skógafoss, one of Iceland’s most impressive waterfalls, known for its powerful cascade, clouds of spray and frequent rainbows.

At Reynisfjara, experience a dramatically different landscape of black volcanic sand, towering basalt columns and the Reynisdrangar sea stacks rising from the Atlantic Ocean. Walk along the viewing platforms at Gunnuhver, where powerful steam vents and boiling mud pools reveal the intense geothermal forces beneath the peninsula. You will also stop at the Bridge Between Continents, a symbolic footbridge crossing a fissure between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Here, you can learn how the Mid-Atlantic Ridge continues to pull Iceland apart while volcanic activity creates new land.

The day concludes with a relaxing visit to the famous Blue Lagoon. Surrounded by black lava fields, its warm, milky-blue water is naturally enriched with silica and other minerals. After breakfast, visit one of Iceland’s geothermal power plants to discover how the country transforms underground heat into electricity and hot water. After your final breakfast, check out of the hotel and board your coach for the transfer to Keflavík International Airport.
