Return to the resort for a selection of cookies and fresh fruit before joining an Eco Ranger for an informative coastal presentation. Learn about Moreton Island’s beaches, dunes and marine habitats, as well as the wildlife that depends upon these fragile ecosystems.

Following a picnic-style lunch, take to the calm coastal waters for an enjoyable stand-up kayaking session. Develop your balance and paddling skills while exploring the shoreline from a completely different perspective.

Join an experienced Eco Ranger for a guided Island Explorer Bushwalking Tour through the remarkable landscapes of Moreton Island National Park.

As you follow the island’s walking trails, discover the native trees and plants that thrive within its sandy environment and learn about the birds, animals and insects that call the island home. Your ranger will explain how the island’s delicate ecosystems are protected and share stories about its history and its Traditional Custodians, the Quandamooka people, whose connection with the land and surrounding waters stretches back thousands of years.

Continue your exploration with a marine discovery experience through the clear waters of Moreton Bay. Keep watch for some of the region’s extraordinary wildlife, which may include dolphins, sea turtles, rays, wobbegong sharks, dugongs and many of the bay’s numerous fish species.

Established in 1947, the sanctuary provides a protected home for an extraordinary variety of Australian animals, including koalas, kangaroos, crocodiles, wombats and colourful native birds.

During your visit, enjoy an exclusive 60-minute behind-the-scenes experience and discover the important work required to care for the sanctuary’s animals. Learn about conservation programmes supporting threatened species such as koalas and Tasmanian devils, and hear the inspiring stories of animals treated by the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital.

Your guide will take you onto the hospital viewing deck and introduce you to some of the specialist areas that are normally hidden from public view. Discover how injured and orphaned wildlife is rescued, examined and rehabilitated, with the aim of returning as many animals as possible to the wild.
