Arrival in Delhi and transfer to camp
Arrive at Delhi Airport, meet the driver and board the coach for the 240km journey to Dehradun, with breakfast en route. The drive takes students from the outskirts of Delhi through the semi-rural plains of Uttar Pradesh, past Haridwar and the Ganges region, and on to the first views of the Himalayan foothills. On arrival at camp, secure luggage and take a late lunch, followed by rest, a briefing, group distribution, camping manners, tent pitching, scrambling and knot making. Evening snacks, camp games and journal writing, then reflection at the bonfire and dinner. Overnight at camp.
